DIVE MODE display

Do not rely on a dive computer that we do not know and understand it's displays. Of the various displays, the DIVE MODE display is the most important display that every diver should know.
The DIVE MODE display will always include the following data:

  1. Current depth.
  2. Bottom time/Dive time.
  3. Remaining Dive time - this figure corresponds in the dive table to the bottom time in the black square. It will usually have three digits representing the time in minutes. On computers where the figure will be two digits, it will only be able to display up to 99 minutes. If the time figure remains constant at 99 minutes, it is probably a bottom time longer than 99 minutes.
  4. Maximum depth we reached during the dive.
  5. water temperature.
  6. Ascent Rate column – graphically displays the ascent rate (see more on this topic in the next page).
  7. Tissue Load Column graphically displays nitrogen tissue loading.
