Most dive computers have a round shape similar to a Wristwatch, but in practice, the display is usually square, and the screen is divided into three rows to make it easier for us to read the data.
As you can see in the computer illustration on the left, the computer screen display is intuitive and displays in real-time only the data relevant to the diver, so as not to overload it with unnecessary information. For example, when the battery is fully charged, the charge percentage will be displayed only at computer startup. but at a low charge, the battery status will be displayed permanently to alert you of the need to replace/charge it before the next dive.
The dive computer display can be illuminated to accommodate for low visibility or night diving. Some dive computers have an illuminated display similar to a smartphone, and in others, you can switch on the backlight by pressing the computer button. The backlight will turn on for a few seconds and turn off automatically, to save battery life.
