Dive profile planning

All Safety guidelines while using tables  also valid when using diving computers and in some cases their implementation is even more important. After all, the dive computer "knows" nothing about the diver wearing it.  Keep in mind that the same computer model can be used by a young diver in good shape or an older, chubby and out of shape, diver with high blood pressure!

For this reason, the dive computer software allows the diver to choose between different levels of conservatism, depending on one or more of the diver's personal risk factors. This is, among other things, the reason why the diving computer is personal and should not be transferred from diver to diver.

Before diving, the diver must enter the computer settings and choose the level of conservatism that suits him. Updating the level of conservatism will be reflected in shortening the bottom times and perhaps even adding time for the safety stops performed during the ascent.

Sometimes two divers who have dived together with identical diving computers arrive at the club counter and "complain" about differences in the bottom times provided by the computers. If the divers followed the rules and did not separated from each other (a reaching distance), this is because the conservatism settings of the computers differ from each other.
